Join artist and poet Alec Finlay to celebrate the launch of his new project The Bee Library in the open air.

Meet YSP Curators for an informal walk around the lakes and woodland followed by an open air poetry reading by Alec Finlay. Bring a picnic and learn more about Alec’s practice.

The Bee Library is a new project comprising a collection of 24 bee-themed books, which will transformed into nests for solitary bees found at YSP, forming a sculptural installation on a walking route around the lakes and woodland.

• Sensible, hard wearing footwear and outdoor clothing is advised.
• Due to sensitive wildlife habitats, dogs are not permitted around the Upper Lake or in Menagerie Wood.
